Hospitality

A hotel does not run one system. The door locks read one credential, the restaurant POS reads another, and the spa may book on a third. A single guest can touch all three before checkout.

That is why a hospitality card order starts with the systems, not the artwork. Key cards are specified by what the lock reads, whether that is a 13.56 MHz RFID chip, a 125 kHz proximity chip, or a magnetic stripe. Gift cards are specified by what the POS reads, usually an encoded stripe or a barcode, in the number format that system expects.

Plastek manufactures hospitality cards in house, including hotel key cards, gift cards, membership and VIP cards, and ID badges. Specifications are typically confirmed against your lock system and your POS before a run is produced.

Before committing to a full run, ask for a sample encoded to your specification. Tap it on your lock. Swipe it at your register. If it reads, run the job.
