Install Marks First Step in Planned Manufacturing Expansion
Las Vegas, NV — Following the 2017 launch of its domestic manufacturing facility in Las Vegas, Plastek Cards has commissioned the industry-leading HP Indigo 7900 Digital Press as part of a broadscale manufacturing expansion initiative.
The new press, producing up to 6000 four-color cards per minute, doubling the company’s previous domestic card manufacturing capacity, is the first piece in a planned US manufacturing expansion, according the company.
“The HP Indigo 7900 will allow Plastek Cards to better respond to the manufacturing demands that the company has experienced in the past year,” said Plastek Cards President and CEO Jeff Fulmer. “The 7900’s speed and printing capabilities also serve to reinforce our brand standards for service and quality, which is our primary focus,” Fulmer adds.
According to the company, the new press installation marks the first stage of a near-term expansion initiative in the Las Vegas metro area that will bring with it added machinery, manufacturing capabilities, and a facility expansion.
