We don’t just print on plastic card stock. Plastek Cards offers a variety of card materials to choose from, including environmentally friendly card stock. However, PVC is our standard card material. Whether producing gift cards, business cards, loyalty cards or membership cards, you can choose the card material that best suits your needs. Order plastic cards.
ABS Recycled
Made from recycled plastic and more durable than PVC, ABS is an excellent choice for high-heat applications, such as parking passes, or to satisfy eco mandates.
Black Core
For an extra measure of sophistication on your black cards, consider using a black core card stock. Black core replaces the white edge visible on PVC cards with a sleek black edge, creating an all black card stock.
Color Core
Extend your design beyond the surface of your cards with color core cards, available in green, pink, orange, and yellow. Note: Unlike our other material options, there is currently a 200,000 piece minimum order size for color core. White, black and clear are not considered color core. Minimum quantity for white core PVC is 50, black is 250, and clear is 250.
Blank Plastic Cards
Blank white PVC cards are available with or without magnetic strips. We also offer blank RFID cards. Our blank PVC cards can be used in all thermal desktop card printers for ID badge printing and more.
Clear
One of the benefits of printing on plastic is the ability to take advantage of transparent PVC card stock. Incorporating transparency into your design offers one of the most distinctive looks available, offering design options that are transparent, translucent or opaque. Clear card stock is popular for business cards, gift cards and more.
Clear Layered
These cards are made up of multiple layers of clear plastic adding depth and dimension.
Composite
Composite cards are more heat resistant than standard PVC cards, and stand up better in harsher environments. Choose from 40% polyester/60% PVC or 30% polyester/70% PVC.
Paper
Paper cards are an environmentally friendly alternative to plastic, while still providing the option for barcodes and magnetic stripes. Paper cards are available in a variety of finishes, including gloss, matte, soft touch, and spot UV.
PETG
If you’re looking for a more environmentally friendly card material, consider PETG, which is derived from polyester and is 100% recyclable. Widely used by credit card makers, PETG is biodegradable and doesn’t emit harmful gases. PETG exhibits the same characteristics as PVC, such as durability and a wide array of print and finish options.
PVC
PVC card stock comes in solid white, and is the industry-standard material for many plastic card applications like gift cards, key cards, business cards and more. The PVC used by Plastek Cards is made primarily from recycled materials.
Teslin®
Actually a synthetic paper, Teslin is used in a variety of applications, including laminated card printing. Teslin is a durable, light weight, and cost effective alternative to PVC.
